Week 12 has come already meaning I will be writing my final blog post for ADED. I cannot believe how fast this semester has gone. One of the final tasks for this course was to google yourself to see how much our digital footprints have changed since the beginning of the semester. And I have to say I can see the impact this course has had on my footprint. Before I started the semester I never blogged, tweeted, or had sites like Pinterest. Now I am a more active digital citizen blogging about my opinions and thoughts sharing them with the world. Before starting this course I thought that it was better not to have any digital footprint at all, now I can see that having a positive digital footprint is much better than having not at all.
To begin the semester I thought I knew about many online technologies and that I was using the web to my full potential, little did I know this was not even close to the case. I have learned about many tools and sites that have helped me to further my knowledge while also making the web wok for me instead of me for it. In one of my initial blog posts about my PLE diagram I talked about the different tools I was using displaying a diagram depicting them. Now as we close out the semester I have created a new one that depicts the tools I am using today.

This diagram has changed drastically since the beginning of the semester and I only hope that it continues to grow as I progress through school and the working world. My digital literacy has grown over the course of the year and with it my digital footprint. I am happy that I have gained knowledge about all these tools but also sad that it has to come to an end. Now that I have gained access to these tools and technologies maybe I can start putting them to further use for me, and maybe this doesn't have to be the end to my blogging, tweeting, and other activities that I never engaged in before starting this course. Now that the semester has concluded I will share one final post from my Feedly page that caught my eye this past week. The article I chose to share is titled
China’s Companies Poised to Take Leap in Developing a Driverless Car. I thought this was a very interesting article as technology has seamed to grow by leaps and bounds over the past couple of decades and whenever there is a new article about technology I always love to share it !
