Voicethread is a great tool that can be used in many areas of learning. After reading about Voicethread's and experiencing it for myself I can really see the value. In today's society we often lose that connection our voice can have with others while using the internet. To leave comments and communicate with others online, we leave text that often cannot get our full point across. I believe verbal communication is so much more effective than simply reading text word for word. I can definitely see myself adding Voicethread to my PLE diagram. I would most likely add it under communication tools or a category similar to that. After posting my comments to the Digital Rights and Responsibilities Discussion Voicethread, I viewed others comments that were posted. It was interesting to see other peoples comments written in text versus a recorded voice. I felt that when I actually heard the individuals voice I grasped what they were trying to say more effectively.
